The Salvation Verse of the Bible

Found in the Gospel of John

Often quoted as the 'Salvation verse' of the Bible, the KJV Gospel of John, chapter 3, verse 16 says:

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

God wants everyone to be saved from the penalty of sin. But only those who ask Him for forgiveness of their sin and believe on Jesus Christ will be saved.

Believers must turn from continuing to sin and accept the Lordship of Jesus Christ, His life, death and resurrection to escape being separated from God for all eternity.

There is simply no other option available to any one of us. Only by accepting Jesus as Savior is anyone saved from the penalty of sin and made acceptable to God.
